    Instructor:
    Timothy Fitz

Timothy is a coach, teacher and mentor committed to spreading the insights and experience he has gained over the years. He is a believer in Lean and safety-focused practices that help make people’s lives better: contributors are happier because safety-focused practices remove a significant number of frustrations and pain-points, while stakeholders and customers are happier because better products are delivered faster and cheaper. He is an author, speaker and mentor on software development topics, most commonly known for coining and evangelizing Continuous Deployment. According to Timothy, the software world is constantly evolving, bringing a priority to establishing a ground-up culture of continuous improvement. He believes Continuous Deployment is a fundamental practice required by Lean and safety-based approaches to bring all of the pieces together. He strives to create environments that lead to happy people, knowing that happy people build better things faster. Timothy currently lives in Austin, Texas. Over the past five years, he has practiced his own version of continuous deployment by living in Brooklyn, Manhattan, San Francisco, Tahoe and Los Angeles. He loves to snowboard and bike. He enjoys creating interactive experiences, including an art project where audience members at a gallery could play a videogame where the enemies were controlled by the live DJ’s turntable scratching.
